Prez Says:

Well, here we are- September brings one of our very most important events as Peanut Days is our one and only fundraising event. And now the great suspense sets in- who will be the keeper of the beloved peanut trophy?

Club News:

  • Note that the start time for the Sept 4th meeting was changed to 2 – 3 PM. Due to VFW 1215 celebrating their 100th anniversary, Congratulations!
  • Peanut Days is planned for September 6th and 7th this year and will be same three HyVee stores like other years.
    So the results will be in next months newsletter.
  • Elections are completed for replacing Board member Jerry Engelbert with Deanna Sheehan starting Oct. 2024
  • Boys and Girl Club “Backpack Program” was August 27th (Tuesday) from 4 to 5:30 PM. Thanks to all those who worked so hard to make this a success.
  • Note the Kiwanis International due have increased $25/year. Therefore our club due’s will only increase by $20/year. So starting October 2024 regular members will pay $160 and spouses $120 per year.
  • Food for Kidz news – The Stewartville Community Center is for sale so new location may be needed in the future.
    Stay tuned for any updates.
  • Welcome new members Paul and Carol Johnson.

We know that in September,
we will wander through the warm winds of summer’s wreckage.
We will welcome summer’s ghost.
