As I reflect on my 84th birthday this month, I marvel at the collective “Golden K”, even as our club’s average age advances. Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
Schaeffer Academy Two Scholarship winners visit is unlikely at this time.
Peanut Days Fund Raiser for our club is planned for September 11 & 12 from 9AM to 5PM this year. Stores at HyVee North 37th Street, HyVee Barlow Plaza, and HyVee South site will be supported. Sign up sheets for 2 hour shifts will be available soon. We need everyone’s help. Please sign up.
The 2026 Golden K Kiwanis Christmas Party has been tentatively scheduled for December 09, 2026 to be held at our VFW meeting site. The date will be confirmed. December 02, 2026 is a possible alternate date.
Remember even though the outside world might be raining, if you keep on smiling the sun will soon show its face and smile back at you.
